This year marks the 16th consecutive year barrier-free gravel racing events have started and finished in our host city of Spring Valley, and we’re looking forward to seeing you at the Start and Finish lines.
The Spring Valley Gravel Races are free to public, self-supported gravel road races through southeastern Minnesota’s rolling hills and challenging Bluff Country USA. With the 2025-2026 Gravel National Championships being held in the Fall of both years from nearby La Crescent, what a great way to test your training and get familiar with the unique conditions the courses have to offer; where the prairies meet the bluff and where Superheroes come to be humbled.
Both routes finish in Spring Valley Willow Park where you’ll find an 18-hole Frisbee golf course, a perfect setting and activity for riders to relax after the race or for supporters to wait for their riders to cross the finish line.

Celebrate the Oldest Bike Shop in WI Turning 130!
Join the crew at Smith's Bike Shop on Saturday, July 19th for the bike celebration of the summer. For the intrepid explorers there are 130 mile and 130 km bike rides, plus a fun 40 mile option. There will also be fun family activities, as we close down the street, plus live music and food trucks in the evening.
